Where can I turn for peace?

Where can I turn for peace? is one of my favorite hymns.

Where can I turn for peace?
Where is my solace
When other sources cease to make me whole?
When with a wounded heart, anger, or malice,
I draw myself apart,
Searching my soul?

Where, when my aching grows,
Where, when I languish,
Where, in my need to know, where can I run?
Where is the quiet hand to calm my anguish?
Who, who can understand?
He, only One.

He answers privately,
Reaches my reaching
In my Gethsemane, Savior and Friend.
Gentle the peace he finds for my beseeching.
Constant he is and kind,
Love without end.

-my favorite version of this hymn-
by The Lower Lights

I love this hymn. The first two verses convey how we feel most of the time. It is true, as answered in the end of the second verse. Christ is the only one who can understand, because He is the only other individual who has felt all that we have. He is my Friend and He is my Savior. I know His love for me is without end, as mine is for Him.

I urge you to find this peace and love that can only come from the Savior of the World.
